These websites share the same data source, thereby reducing maintenance activities and costs. Sunnyseek World and The Holiday Hippo The company operate these sites as an affiliate. The sites provides a clean interface to allow the visitor to locate holiday items either via a departments list or by entering search terms. The sites are completely database driven and rotate merchants banners randomly. Technologies used: ADO (Active X Data Objects) ASP (Active Server Pages) CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) JavaScript SQL (Structured Query Language) Denew also had a requirement to maintain the items listed on these sites locally, this local application was written in Microsoft Access and provides facilities to import product datafeeds from online merchants. The database, developed in Microsoft Access provides a facility to preview each of the products to be displayed on the website. Built in Web Browser The database features a built in web browser to display the merchants images directly from their own websites. Activate and Feature Facilities to enable and disable products, as well as set them as featured (when they will appear on the home page of the website). Master and Sub Category Cross reference products into the consistent categories, these categories will then dynamically build the departments list on the website.
