Microsoft Visual Basic

The Microsoft Visual Basic development system is a very productive tool for creating business solutions for Windows and the Web. Its comprehensive, rapid application development environment helps developers to quickly create and deploy client/server applications, plus it allows VB developers to easily program for the Internet using the familiar VB programming tools and techniques.

Some of the projects I have used Visual Basic include:
A Customer database system written in Visual Basic, and utilising other applications in the Office suite such as Excel and Word to produce reports and Mailmerged customer documents via VBA. (MediPhase)

A stock control system for pharmacies using a hand-held barcode scanner interfaced via the PC's serial port. (MediPhase)
