Database Modifications
I was approached by Barconn Limited to improve an existing Access Database by adding more data fields to capture cost details related to plant on hire.
Plant hire costs can be weekly, daily, fixed cost and also attract delivery and drop off charges, and are not applied at weekends.
The modifications I added use sophisticated programming to determine the costs based on date range, calculating the overall cost of hire including delivery costs and drop off costs only if either of these fall within the users selected reporting range.
Reports
I then developed two reports that would produce summaries of plant on hire together with costs per period, this enables the client to closely monitor these costs.
